Challenge
A show for children aged 5-12 and adults, combining theatre, dance and acrobatics with ecological education. Four bird characters (Pip, Nika, Livia and Luna) + Borys had to be instantly readable, distinct and likeable. The identity also had to work on a poster and translate into physical scenography.
The project was funded by KPO / NextGenerationEU, through the National Institute of Music and Dance.

Solution

  • Characters: I designed the four birds as a family, each with its own species, colours and personality, unified by one grainy, hand-made illustration style.

  • Visual identity: chunky custom typography, a purple-led palette and a graphic system that stays legible on a poster and playful across media

  • Plywood scenography: I designed the set in plywood, a single honest material that fits the ecological message, built as modular physical objects.

  • One language: identity and set were designed together, so the poster, the stage and the workshop materials read as the same world.

Result
A complete visual world (characters, identity, poster and physical set), staged at Fabryka Porcelany in Katowice.
